Situated Artistic Practices for the Pluriverse (SIT-PLU)
Situated Creative Practices for the Pluriverse (SIT-PLU) is a Creative Europe initiative tackling socio-ecological challenges through innovative, context-specific artistic interventions. Drawing on the Zapatista concept of the pluriverse—”a world where many worlds fit”—the project embraces diverse ways of knowing and living, foregrounding buen vivir (social well-being), communal interdependence, and the relationships between human and more-than-human entities.
At LUCA School of Arts, I’m part of the SIT-PLU Lab at Kasteel Ter Beken, an experimental site for reimagining belonging, storytelling, and land-based practices. Rooted in intersectionality, care, and ecological restoration, we explore regenerative ways of co-existing.
Working closely with farmers on site—Brugboer Bart, Fleur Couleur, and Weder—as well as artists, researchers, neighbours, and students, we engage in collaborative dinners, workshops, and multi-sensory mapping activities. Together, we’re cultivating new narratives of place, guided by seasonal rhythms and lunar cycles—inspired by biodynamic principles.
